According to CryptoETF Today’s Oct. 15 dashboard, the divergence was sharpest in Ethereum, whose spot ETFs saw a net outflow of -$60.

Bitcoin spot ETFs posted a modest net inflow of +$5.1 million on Oct. 15, 2026, while funds tied to Ether, Solana, and XRP each recorded net outflows, reinforcing Bitcoin’s relative position as the preferred institutional vehicle among listed crypto investment products.

According to CryptoETF Today’s Oct. 15 dashboard, the divergence was sharpest in Ethereum, whose spot ETFs saw a net outflow of -$60.3 million on the day. Solana spot ETFs shed -$9.8 million, and XRP spot ETFs recorded -$1.0 million in outflows. For related coverage, see Bitcoin ETF Inflows Stall After $1.7B Surge.

Across all 16 crypto-ETF assets tracked by the same dashboard, the aggregate net flow for Oct. 15 was -$90.4 million, meaning Ethereum’s outflow alone accounted for roughly two-thirds of the cross-asset total. Bitcoin’s positive reading was the exception, not the rule, on the day. For related coverage, see Thailand Bitcoin & Ether ETF Rules Start Oct. 16.

Bitcoin Holds Positive Flows While Altcoin Funds Retreat

The Oct. 15 figures continue a pattern visible in recent weekly data. Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $681 million in net outflows for the week of Oct. 5–9, making the single-day positive reading on Oct. 15 a tentative inflection worth monitoring rather than a confirmed reversal. One day of inflows does not establish a trend.

The contrast with altcoin-linked funds is notable. Ethereum’s -$60.3 million outflow dwarfs the movements in Solana and XRP products, which are newer entrants to the listed-fund market with smaller asset bases.

Bitcoin was trading at $82,266, up roughly 1.2% in the prior 24 hours. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index stood at 63, in “Greed” territory, suggesting broad market sentiment was constructive even as capital rotated away from altcoin-linked products.

Earlier in October, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana ETFs all posted negative performance for the month, providing context for the sustained selling pressure visible in the Oct. 15 altcoin-fund outflow figures. The single-day Bitcoin inflow on Oct. 15 represents a potential break from that negative streak, though confirmation would require several consecutive days of positive readings.

What Investors May Watch Next

A single session of divergent flows between Bitcoin and altcoin funds is a data point, not a conclusion. Investors tracking allocation shifts across listed crypto products will look to subsequent daily and weekly net-flow reports to determine whether Oct. 15 marks the start of a sustained preference for Bitcoin spot ETFs over Ether, Solana, and XRP equivalents.

It is also worth noting that the prior week showed Bitcoin ETFs losing $68.11 million while XRP ETFs attracted inflows, the inverse of Oct. 15’s reading. The reversal in XRP’s fund-flow direction within a short span illustrates how quickly allocation preferences can shift across these products. Daily flow data from trackers covering all four asset classes will be the most direct indicator of whether the Oct. 15 pattern holds.
